Are there taxes on Software?

How do I buy and install a renewal? (Norton example)

Example: Open your existing Norton package- Little icon on bottom right of screen- Look under "Support" top right corner-to get your existing serial number and version #. Write them down since you need it to renew.  
2.- Go to> http://www.asystematics.com/software_promtions.htm. Look for upgrades and Renewals- in left hand column.
3.- Under > Renew your subscription. Select your product> Little down arrow shows which ones- Click on What Version >Select Renewals for "your existing Norton software.
4.- Goes to > Subscription renewal icon.
5.- Goes to Norton's Order page (We do not buy insurance) Click on little Trash can to delete charge.
6.- Enter Coupon code: Such as "10NORTONSTORE2011". You should see the discount amount appear in dollars. Plus tax- which may not be applicable since it is downloaded.
7.- Enter your payment info- (It is a secured site). Follow download instructions. Once it has accepted your payment.- the download will start- let it completely finish without using your computer for other things.
8.- Your computer will need to be re-started.
9.- Check your Norton icon again to see if your days total has increased to help keep you safe for another year:)

Is it less expensive to renew vrs. buying a new copy at the expiry date?

It all depends if there is a special promotion or coupon code on a new license. Renewals are typically less expensive if there are no promotes available at your renewal date.
For example, we are run several specials which are less expensive right now than a renewal. A new program will erase your previous copy before installing the new copy. It will carry forward unfinished days which is a nice feature if you want to take advantage of one of our specials. Please note, you may download more user copies by entering the same key code you receive from the first copy. In the 360 example above, the purchase includes copies of the program for 2 more computer users.

How can I be sure I have reached an authorized site for my software download?

Be very wary of bogus sites that advertise severe discounts, require a separate registration and indicate that their "Activation Code Will Be Sent Via Email Once Order is Processed ". Renewals & Updates?
